The house is located on a plot of land that slopes downward from the front to the back. It is surrounded by trees, with the possibility of achieving wide views toward Cerro Catedral at the front and toward a golf course at the back.
The aim is for the house to feel like a mountain refuge — a place that strengthens bonds and relationships among friends and family, a warm space that serves as the foundation for gathering.
The house takes shape as a wooden box resting on the terrain, creating a contrast between its geometry and the natural surroundings. Access is through a path that sinks into the ground, creating a gradual procession from an open space to a contained interior space. A social area is proposed, offering different moments for gathering: a sunken fireplace, a living area, a dining area, and the kitchen — all forming part of the social space. The bedrooms are located on the upper floor, connected by a linear corridor that overlooks the double-height social area, also serving as an extension of the bedrooms.
The ground floor opens directly onto the garden, visually integrating the golf course into the interior landscape. The elevated bedrooms at the front capture views of Mount Catedral above the neighboring houses.
The house becomes the foundation for emotional connection and shared experiences.
