A three members family is the starting programme posed for the customers. This family unit will progressively undergo changes concerning their habits.
We have tried to give respond to to all types of needs, without losing neither quality or functionality in the liveability of the House, as well as maintaining the independence of every living space.
Initially we start from a very rational and efficient orthogonal distribution, with the main entrance located in the central part of the housing, in order to reduce distances. Subsequently, each volume starts to squirm looking for in each case the best orientation, privacy or open spaces based on the different level of intimacy sought.
On the top floor we carry this methodology one step further, separating the volumes of the different rooms between them and from the ground floor. This has led to the execution of a project of apparent simplicity, but extremely complex, since structure and facilities had a few very specific vertical axes where the floors got in conection. This formal separation from the ground floor and high reaches its height to the overhang cantiléver of 7 meters covering the terrace next to the living.
Externally, materials define a white and solid volume, which folds back onto itself, squirms and expands across, originating spaces linking interior and exterior at various levels, with no visual communication between them. The House is bisected by an axis of communication from which each and every one of the different functional subunits are oriented according to this criterion.
The house is based on what we might define as a radial pattern, in which the arrangement of the walls is deformed looking for the best possible direction, allowing full lighting and orientation of the various interstitial spaces left, while maintaining independence between the different rooms.
