Urban house from the 19th century, La Brigantine consists of a closed garden, a remarkable facade and a succession of rooms distributed on three levels. At the ground floor, a clear concrete surface organizes people, objects and plants on the whole ground. Outside, vague forms organize entrance sequence and surfaces for uses. Inside, the extruded forms support curated objects.
These areas polarize the ground of the house. White metal structures generate added rooms: a pergola and a mezzanine. Floor surfaces and metallic structures overlap and update the existing building. The garden made up with plants of collections becomes the major component of the house.
