The Kurumi-House is a small barrier-free house for a couple family, which stands in a rice field just like enfolding (=”kurumi”) their own home.
It is a compact and relaxing space for them, because the house is designed with universal-design method and our ingenuity. Especially we have considered simple flow and no-step planning carefully for wife’s using wheelchair without stress and danger.
For example, a flat-floor kitchen is safe and comfortable for her.
In fact, the Kurumi-House is far from large and has no surplus space or room, however it provides them with a variety of ways to enjoy the space. In a tatami-floored corner, husband can enjoy reading books or do his works while feeling the signs of his wife. It shows a living style that they think a great deal of interaction with their each partners.
We hope that the small house provides the family with comfortableness and warmness, and then it takes to strengthen the bonds of them.
