This time we are proud to present you Kousko, a unique pastry shop in Kalamata, one of the biggest cities in the Peloponnese, in Greece. After several years of successful operation of the first store, Kousko decided to expand the brand into other locations in Greece, especially in tourist destinations and highly visited shopping areas. In the store there is a café corner which operates during the day serving a wide variety of coffees and other beverages, but at the same time Kousko offers a broad selection of sweets, cakes, ice-cream, pies and sandwiches; tastes that attract both young people and traditional sweet consumers.
STIRIXIS Group's mission was to design the concept of the second store in an enriched way to turn the design into a retail identity. Our aim was to create an environment that would communicate the incomparable character of Kousko and make it a daily meeting point in a fast paced visiting clientele. We followed the original approach of the first store and blended the industrial look with homey elements to soften the overall feeling. Black colour combined with vanilla white lacquered wood details resulted into a refined yet traditional store that becomes both local and tourist attraction.
Focusing on ROI, STIRIXIS Group provided strategic consulting services for building the concept and its clear positioning, architectural and environmental graphics design as well as author’s supervision services.
