"The ambience" is a fundamental concept in Iranian culture, literature and art, and Iranian architecture is no exception so that the creation of this “The ambience” is the task of the Iranian architect. The purpose of the balcony reconstruction was to create a pleasant and safe atmosphere with Iranian ambience. In Tehran, where buildings have become merely functional, unidentified and isomorphic, accepting projects though small but with a different quality was a great opportunity for us. In order to design this space and create the desired atmosphere, extensive studies have been done on Iranian contemporary architecture, Iranian decorative art, Iranian tile, Persian carpet, Iranian garden and… . Since the decorations, materials and quality of materials used in the creation of the Iranian architectural ambience play a very significant role, attention to materials, their method of use and work on decorating in different sectors were very much considered.The project of "Koohestan Ivan" on a balcony of 10 square meters of a residential unit of 160 square meters, on the fifth floor of a building with a total floor area of 1500 square meters and an infrastructure Useful 810 square meters in the form of 5 single residential floors and 3 floors with lobby and parking on the ground floor, and parking and storage in 2 floors of the basement. The floor and walls were made of travertine and the ceiling covered by plaster. In new design they were replaced by brick and in each section, according to the location and type of use, bricks were used with different shapes and layouts.
