Transforming 80,000 SF at Triangle Plaza for Komatsu’s North America Headquarters, Partners by Design created a sleek, inviting space with a mix of private offices, workstations and cozy collaborative nooks. Komatsu’s new headquarters features a four-floor renovation, interconnecting stair, executive offices, conference rooms, collaboration space, training rooms and cafe. Custom millwork is gracefully mixed with abstract wall coverings.
Spark, a Chicago-based environmental branding company and sister company of Partners by Design, worked with the design team and client to transform hallways, expansive walls, and elevator corridors to integrate the brand and story throughout the office. One of the difficulties was the project’s critical path schedule. Planning with the end in mind is in our nature and is key to the success of any fast-track corporate interiors project. Partners by Design worked with Power Construction to achieve a proactive approach that led to the early procurement of long lead time items and was vital to the success of meeting the project’s completion goal.
