Pedagogy must go hand in hand with sustainability. Therefore, Kollaskolan in Kungsbacka is both a stimulating school environment and at the same time one of the country's largest passive houses. For us, the combination was obvious and led to a competitive win. Kollaskolan was built as a complement to an existing school, with the schoolyard as an interconnecting and creative outdoor environment. The whole is a playful, inspiring and sustainable school with the 360 students in the center and architecture as a pedagogical support in their important work. The architecture is both classically restrained and colorfully playful, depending on the viewer's perspective.
