Located on KNSM Island in Amsterdam, the entire housing is several unique levels. The three courtyards each constitute a separate world , recreating the intimate atmosphere very typical of central Amsterdam . The central courtyard is round and ended with a beautiful gate designed by Narcisse Tordoir . It opens on the south pier and connects to the main street. The other two courses are much more intimate and we find the atmosphere of small urban squares .
The 321 units are divided into 6 or 8 levels. The living rooms have a water view . Equipped with wide open doors of the water side and terraces toward the non noisy part of the internal spaces , they are organized according to different types. There are also small houses with windows and a living room on two levels. Of firms locate on the ground floor of the west side , above common carparks with a capacity of automobiles percent.
From the ring road on the IJ , contact is made directly with the monumental building .
The design of the facades clearly refers to those in Amsterdam facades, especially in terms of finishing and colors.
From basic options defined in terms of the general interest and unlimited attention to all the architectural elements , sustainability is reflected in a context where the building as a public building, provides primarily a sensation wellness .
