As our second assignment for ARCH 201, students had to use a knot to visualize space in three modes: surface, mass, and frame using Rhino, wood, and CNC prototyping respectively. The final iteration was to be a combination of these design aspects.I chose to start with a double figure-eight knot and eventually, I realized that all iterations of my project were concerned with layers and transformations between the layers.
