Delawie, in a joint venture with national design firm Perkins & Will successfully completed a new three-story, 89,000 SF University of San Diego Knauss Center for Business Education and the renovation of the 47,000 SF Olin Hall.
This cutting-edge facility now offers USD students 23 modern classrooms, alongside specialized spaces like a financial markets’ lab and a data analytics lab. The building has facilities to host lectures and events with board meeting rooms, a 2,600 SF Nexus Theater, and a partitioned auditorium which opens to the central courtyard to accommodate a variety of options for 50 to 250 attendees. Together with a 7,300 square foot Student Success Center, there is a variety of versatile and engaging spaces to gather as a business community.
Olin Hall primarily functions as a center for the Knauss Business School faculty, operating in conjunction with the Knauss Center to form a 136,000 SF business school complex – tripling the size of the program. With the concept of “a better way to business” the design focused on a better way to learn with a design that nurtures student start-ups, career development and mentoring, a production studio for brand development and financial analysis labs.
The Knauss School of Business is an unparalleled place for learning and innovation that will help prepare students to succeed not just academically, but as ethical leaders who are inspired to make a difference in their communities.
