Renovation and redesign of an office building of the Austrian KNAUF headquarter. This building is located near city center in Vienna in an old urban structure and was built in the end of 19th century. The workplaces were organized in old structures with no possibilities for open space working with central meeting rooms, without recreation and lounge areas for today’s communication, modern working culture and collaboration.
After reorganizing the spatial concept, designing the interior, it was necessary to improve the corporate culture through a new architectural design and functional layout. KNAUF asked FORMFUNK for the use of various products of the company as a design tool. It was not only the white color representing the white gypsum, even more to use their products for furniture, acoustic design elements, cooling and heating elements and more than two dimensional surfaces.
This project was the completion of the successful innovation strategy of the company with innovative architecture and design. Architecture and design were tools for presentation of the company and the brand.
