In 1928, we renovated the tenement RC along the side of Kiyosumi Park, the scenic spot in Tokyo, which was built as the one of the Great Kanto Earthquake Reconstruction Project. Now, the corner of the fifty lined-up RC tenements is used as the complex of acupuncture, cafe and Gallery taking advantage of the spectacular views of the park.
Keyword "healing" connects totally different and unrelated use with no partition, therefore each use can be unrelated with each other. This design can obscures the boundaries of inside and outside, of customers and patients, and of shopkeepers and doctors, and can achieve the mental barrier-free space. This tenement gives the positive and active “healing” by taking in the richness of the changes of time and seasons.
