This comprehensive oncology center elevates KishHealth System-an acute care community hospital outside of Chicago- as a regional leader in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. BSA LifeStructures expanded and modernized the existing building with a complimentary service line of medical oncology that was formerly located in a nearby medical office building.The addition features chemotherapy administration, pharmacy chemotherapy, radiology, lab services, complementary patient services, a conference room and a patient education resource center. A new reception area creates a unified place to greet patients and family members and children are given special consideration with a visitor lounge and child play area.A central ingredient in the cancer center’s healing environment is the healing garden that graces the treatment areas, lobby and front entrance. The garden serves as an area of respite for patients and offers a positive distraction from their treatment.
