This major sub-acute service redevelopment initiative across four campuses was a concurrent and single commission with a value of $550 million for the Victorian Department of Health. Tectura undertook these projects with STH architects in equal partnership. Tectura undertook the asset survey, user group briefing, development of the functional design brief, preparation of accommodations schedules and room data sheets, health planning, functional layouts, architectural design, documentation & construction administration for the Kingston campus and the Doveton aged care and mental health facility. The scope of work for the master plan, feasibility study and schematic design included:
• Sub-acute assessment beds 96 beds
• Rehabilitation unit 32 beds
• Community rehabilitation centre
• Specialist clinics including gait laboratory, memory clinics, falls prevention
• Residential aged care 90 beds
• Monash University Research Unit MONARC
• Education centre
• Proposed relocation to the site of existing specialist sub-acute Calvary Health Care Bethlehem 60 beds
• Aged Day Activity Service
• Production Kitchen
