Named after characters in Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, this restaurant gives a nod to classic literature and American traditions. A massive 24-foot open hearth designed as the restaurant's centerpiece boasts a passion for cooking over hickory wood — guests can enjoy watching their food being prepared over the fire in the main restaurant space, dine al fresco on the large patio, or host an event in a private dining room. The design team took its cue from the idea of employing the narrative of American literature, and incorporated it with a contemporary refinement of southern vernacular design elements. Chicken wire, barn wood and rustic metals were integrated into the space, but were interpreted in a cleaner, more modern fashion. Subtle references to American history can be found throughout the restaurant, without overtaking the space and allowing for a refreshingly light energy to remain. The space was a special marriage of style of cooking and style of design—all elements truly synthesized and became one. The certain vintage yet modern charm of the design met a creative yet old-fashioned cooking style to make a truly unique environment and holistic experience.
