Occupying both ground floor and basement and situated in the bustling side of Senopati, Kilo kitchen and lounge Jakarta bridges the organic, raw and industrial with elegance and sophistication. The large floor area was designed as a sequence of intimate spaces. The design concept celebrates and features unique materials paired with carefully designed bespoke furniture. The prominence of the attention to details can be seen throughout the space. The luminous ceiling feature against the textural backdrop of the concrete and brickwork, the hand-made glazed tiles, the marble bar are a few of the many highlights in Kilo that creates a rich and nuanced environment.
The client’s passion for culinary experience, for the unpretentious ingredients selection and thoughtfully presented dishes, was reflected in the design. Hand-applied distressed paint, grey terrazzo, a selection of natural stones embedded into the floor. the open Kitchen is one of the key design components that adds a distinct character to the space.
The interior aims to represent the Kilo’s offering, as well as its cosmopolitan but relaxed context – to do it all with elegance and through exceptional detailing. This then allows a conversation between its various components and thus creating a holistic space.
