As the main focus of a warm home, the kitchen has to reflect thevision of its owners. It is within a Nun's Island townhouse thatthese renovations made a happy couple.Many design meetings and creative discussions were necessaryto agree on the renovation guidelines: transform the smallclosed kitchen into a welcoming yet functional space.First off, the blend of modern and traditional finishes - lacquer,wood and marble - contributes to creating a friendly atmosphere.In this open and warm space, it is now possible to entertainand cook with guests being present. Adding lime green as anaccent colour gives this room the slight touch of fun that everykitchen should have.Functionality is essential in a kitchen. The challenge was to adaptthe cabinets and integrate the appliances without overloadingthe space and losing the minimalist aspect to the design.Today, the owners can fully enjoy this space and explore theirpassion for cooking.
