The courts in Norway consistes of two entries; one for the defence attorney and the audience and one for the judges and others actors of the legal system. Solheim & Jacobsen arkitekter have made the entry for the judges in Borgating Hight Court visible from the outside so bypassers in the streets can see the judges going to and from the court rooms. This has been obtained by using a glass facade. The intend was to make the building appear for what it is; a court of law but still "pacify" the court to make it appear more familiar to all.
The court rooms are all placed in the first four stories as small jewellery boxes made out of dark wood which gives the empression of small rooms inside the rooms. The other seven stories are offices.
