The project was to gut and renew a traditional 1920's house to reflect the existing character while providing all the modern conveniences. A new dormer was built to extend the existing Master Bedroom. The owner had wished to expand the outside of the house in locations in order to make rooms larger. Contrary to this idea, we instead removed the central masonry chimney to expand all the rooms that revolved around this central element saving the client money while fulfilling the mandate. We always like to work in the client narrative and the main upper bathroom was outfitted with a surf/beach theme.
