reinvent the center of the city Kaufbeuren, we introduced an alien presence of
organic, glowing interstellar objects that host civic functions. Programs
include a public stage, café, bicycle storage, and urban lighting tower.
Concentric radiating cobblestones are an integration of traditional German
street surface design and the ripple and wake of an alien impact. The objects
are build out of backlit thermoformed recycled acrylic. Historic buildings are
framed by the concentric geometry and reflect the new glowing street furniture.
