The cook house is located about 850 meters from Kehria Skiathos. Main intention of this proposal is the integration of the building to the topography, in an effort to preserve the natural slope of the land. The cave building, with a height of 2,80m is organized around the central space of the cook house. The design highlights the outdoor configurations. The formation of the open space so as to achieve optimum utilization of the relief, provides different quality of outdoor configurations. Even the roof of the building is used as public space. More generally, the building avoids embankment fill. The design has to the respect to the environment, giving the impression that the building came through the soil itself. The materials selected are in harmony with the materials of the landscape. The main body of the building consists of load-bearing stone walls, with stone that is excavated product, while the white wood complements in tone and texture in terms of the palette of materials which can be found in the landscape of Kehria.
