Evolve Architects completed this open Plan house for a conservative Indian Family, who preferred a house filled with sunshine all day. The spaces are designed around an open skylit central court, which forms a reading and social space for the family. The court also overlooks into a double-height living room. All rooms open up into lush green large balconies facing east.
Skylit showers add to the sun experience all through the villa. Soft Grey tones of color and highlights of wood give a warm feel to the Interiors.
A solar roof caters to the energy needs and makes the house totally grid-free, In fact, the excess solar power generation feeds the grid back. All peripheral existing trees are retained, to gain privacy from immediate corner roads outside. Overall we aptly call it the “sunshine House” as it is naturally lit as long the sun is shining.
