The values contributing to the green and vibrant environment of the laboratory campus of Karolinska Institutet (medical research institute) will, through this design, be enriched and built upon in a process strategy known as amplification. The goal is to create an active and interesting campus environment which invites outdoor activity and spontaneous interaction. By assigning the three main passages, Tomtebodavägen, Nobels väg and Akademiska stråket, with stronger differentiation in their identity, distinction within the area will be attained. To achieve this, an individual gradient of amplification and addition of strong design elements will be implemented.
