Perched high on the hill in Clifton Gardens with sweeping views over Sydney Harbour this major alterations and additions to a modest 1950’s red brick house has been transformed into a contemporary family home with a relaxed casual feel.
The house over 3 levels comprises a lower level with double garage, gym and storage areas. The middle level has the main living and entertaining areas opening onto a large north facing terrace that opens onto a level lawn area, ideal for entertaining and young children. A new pool with water feature was also added. The rear terrace has an operable louvred roof allowing winter sun penetration to the main living room. The terrace is lined with stained timber weatherboards and battens enhancing the relaxed casual nature of the house.

The interiors seek to be warm and inviting and feature dark stained oak oors, o white and wallpapered walls, nely detailed joinery in painted and veneered nish, and natural stone benchtops. The main living room joinery features a natural stone wall surrounding the gas re which sits on a polished concrete plinth.
The exteriors are a combination of painted rendered walls, stained timber cladding and natural sandstone cladding to the new double garage. The gardens were extensively landscaped to give the house street appeal and to provide a lush private oasis to the rear garden.
