Sitting along the boundary of Kanha National Park, the site is planned to develop in two phases- the first along the adjoining river, and the second, close to the centre with a dense forest cover. Eighteen luxury suites are designed as contemporary tents 'floating over the foliage with canvas walls and roofs' and individual tents are provided with exclusive viewing decks.
The two skinned canvas roof wherein the inner layer is insulated and mist system is integrated between the two, serves as a primary cooling system while the floor has a gas- fired radiant heating system for the winter months. Its raised structure supported at only a few points on the ground through pile foundation, maintains a light footprint providing continuity to natural undergrowth and drainage.
Beside the natural flow of the river, two pools have been carved out of the site: One with an infinite edge, overflowing into a manmade lake and the other in the shade of a large acacia tree and a raw vegetated edge. Modifications were made on site as per existing tree locations and the site preserves its natural integrity, inviting tourists to become an element of its setting for the brief period of their stay.
