Detail design studio designed a medical clinic of 130 m2 in Larnaca, with the main aim of creating a familiar space, exuding an atmosphere of calm and balance, elements necessary in a medical environment.
The minimalist approach to the use of materials and the spatial coherence through reflections and lighting has been the focus of the architectural intention.
The translucent curtains, the vertical sandblasting stripes on the glass office’s
wall and the airy yarn partitions in the waiting area are in perfect harmony with each other, composing a sense of peace in the space.
The corridor in front of the examination rooms is parallel to the metal structures and is defined by the light boundary created by the thread curtains.
In the examination rooms, darker tones and tinted mirror zones were chosen, creating images of intense perspective.
Finally, the rich natural light from the openings is complemented by the direct and indirect artificial lighting, which highlights specific items and constructions of the space, and completes its new dynamics.
