This award-winning, mixed-use facility
harbors a 5,000 square foot convenience store and café, gas station, and RV
disposal station. This “C-store” serves the surrounding community and the
neighboring Northern Quest Casino patrons. The design utilizes the site’s
inherent features. The architecture is inspired by the Kalispel Tribe, evoking
their rich culture and heritage, while fulfilling their goals for growth in the
future. The design features an open canopy providing 20 multi-product fuel
dispensers, strong vehicular circulation, and an RV disposal station. The
fueling islands are canted and provide easy access for larger vehicles. It also
houses two drive-up windows and an open retail floor plan with a POS that is
oriented for control and customer service. The building materials of stone,
wood and metal reflect the close relationship to the casino. By complementing
the Tribe’s establishment it achieves the goal of creating a functional
building that personifies the identity of the Tribe themselves.
