The main goal of this project —located in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico— was to consolidate a contemporary image respecting and harmonizing with the local architecture to become an architectural reference of one of the most important tourist areas of the country. The challenge for IDEA Asociados team was to achieve a perfect balance both in its exterior architecture and in its interior design resulting in the creation of a beautiful building in harmony with its surroundings.
The project was faced as a comprehensive design and has two basic areas. The first area is the 2 levels lower body containing the public areas and services with rooms in the basement and ground floor. The second area is the 3 levels buildings for rooms and three types of suites with large terraces, Jacuzzis and pools.
The parking lot and hotel services areas are in the basement, as well as public areas such as the ballroom, gym with SPA, a 3 course and the specialties restaurants, The Griffin Club, terraced areas of restaurants and pools, as well as the first and second level of rooms of the buildings A and G, machine rooms and laundry. The public areas on both levels were distributed to have a very efficient operation they are spacious with wide windows that provide excellent natural light and magnificent outdoor views.
The room´s buildings are functional and have very good security, as well as two emergency stairs on the sides and elevators. The congruence among the finishes generates a serene and comfort atmosphere for the guests. The landscape architecture project was integrated to the local context, using the vegetative palette of the area, thus achieving the development´s harmony with its urban context.
