This project consists of master planning 80 acres of fertile hills with programmatic elements that include a winemaking facility, main residence and tasting room. The site is situated in Paso Robles, California, center of an emerging wine region just north of Santa Barbara. The first component of the design process is the residence, which reflects on typological references both in imagery and in materials. Each level of the plan correlates to specific landscape program and functions through the change of grade, materials, walls, pools and flora.
