JLL (formerly known as Jones Lang LaSalle) is a global financial and professional services firm that specializes in commercial real estate service and investment management. In 2014, the company embarked upon a global rebranding effort aimed at emphasizing the firm’s worldwide operation, scale and vision for the future.
Because the business strategy for JLL’s commercial real estate brokerage is to establish regional offices to serve a local client base, JLL’s El Segundo office was designed to reflect the casual culture of this beach community. Elegant, yet approachable and transparent, the space is an open environment with both modern design and timeless furnishings. An unmanned, virtual reception and welcoming lounge area establishes the informal, free-flowing vibe of the space. Visitors to this office immediately feel comfortable to wander about the space and enjoy the unobstructed, panoramic views. The color palette mixes both cool grays and warm browns, while two living walls and the reclaimed wood wall coverings connect the interior space with the natural beauty of this idyllic setting on the Pacific Ocean. An aerial view map of JLL’s locations throughout southern California covers an entire wall in the conference room.
The collaborative office space not only reveals the company’s culture, but also reflects JLL’s vision of the future of workplace design.
