The site is situated at 15 minutes south-West from the center of Tangier, close from the road N1 that connect the airport Boukhalef.
The direction of the project is to create a car free site; all the traffic is diverted to the boundaries of the site except the center road to connect the north of the site to the south. This allows all residents and visitors to use the inner site has a big park inter-connected.
The Jiraria project takes his implantation system of the” Y” from the tree structure. The system allows an extensive adaptation to the site which all branches are linked together and create plazas and alley. On the ground floor the building is cut to allow pedestrian to circulate freely.
The landscape system as taking the reference of the Arabic “Zelig” which the geometry is made of stars, hexagons, diamonds shapes. These shapes are the base for all tilling on the urban.
The façade is made by three layers, the windows, the recessed gradient colors lines, and the pattern of the protection solar sliding panels. These panels are taking the reference of the Arabic “moucharabieh”.
It include 2200 social housing units, a kindergarten for more than 100 children, a school for more than 350 student, a supermarket of more than 2700 m2 and more than 5300m2 of retails and convenient stores.
