A new Athenian style souvlaki bar in Fitzroy for famed chef, George Calombaris. The name is rhyming slang of the 1960’s, ‘Jimmy Grant’ sounding like ‘immigrant’. The business is contained within an unassuming 19th century red brick cottage which has a raw homely feel with a fit out that avoids obvious Greek style references. Rustic and industrial materials are carefully composed to create a kind of nostalgically modern space with a theatrical graffiti artwork and open kitchen. This is a fun and light hearted design that will both surprise and delight.
