Set within the tranquil hills of Jepara, the Jepara Hillside Residence is a refined tropical retreat that embodies elevated living in harmony with nature. Located on a site surrounded by rice fields and plantation land, the residence embraces the natural topography to craft a layered, immersive experience. The building layout follows the slope to create panoramic sea views, spatial variety, and seamless movement between zones. With soft transitions between indoors and outdoors, the residence promotes privacy, comfort, and a strong connection to the surrounding environment. From lush gardens and a yoga deck to infinity pools and water features the design enhances both relaxation and rejuvenation.
Architecturally, the residence merges circular and orthogonal building forms, drawing on local materials such as stone, timber, and eco conscious alternatives such as Conwood. A green building approach is embedded throughout, from rainwater collection and passive ventilation to solar water heaving and low-energy lighting systems. The interiors balance contemporary luxury with cultural warmth, featuring rich textures, light filled spaces, and thoughtfully curated transitions.
