Goettsch Partners recently completed
the 417,000-square-foot headquarters of Jenner & Block, located on the top
14 floors of the new 353 North Clark office tower in downtown Chicago. While
meeting several practice imperatives, the design provided an opportunity to, in
the client's words, "create a stage upon which we perform in the service
of our clients." The combination of classic modernist principles with
contemporary law firm planning has invented a new platform for the delivery of
cutting-edge legal services—a platform that places a premium on intelligent
design decisions, enabling long-term strategic positioning and honoring legacy
cultural commitments in the service of telling Jenner & Block's unique story.
