This is a tester house that I developed for our new company Planrocket.com It's not meant as a show of architectural
power...It's a place to come home to. it is a fairly "green" house in that it uses passive cooling with large overhangs, stack effect is employed as well as sky lighting, raised floor construction and floating decks reduces pad size and allows heating and cooling to be more efficient. cross venting is also a big part of this design. Thick walls for real insulation. Strong emphasis on proportional ratios and geometries are also a part of this design. It is a contemporary hybrid of a classic style. it's roots are in Eastern Asia and it's styling and size is clearly American. It's understated. It isn't overly demonstrative, but it's attention to detail is evident though out the model.
