is a metropolitan city in Indonesia, covering an area about 661 square kilometers. It
is the largest city in Indonesia and its 10 largest cities in the world. Currently,
Jakarta has several problems which being main concern for the government due to
unrefined condition both physical and non-physical aspects and it needed to be
solved soon. For example, Jakarta has lead several problems which are insufficient
Public Park, inequality of public transportation system, irrational location of
residential relative to the city centre as main activities for most of the city
inhabitants, the urgency of farming and cultivation centre to tackle the
imbalance greenery areas which are lacking is needed. Here with this project,
we are trying to exploit and obtain this obstacle into cogency. Accordingly, as
a sample, North Jakarta as authoritativeness spot in our site and to convince
that Indonesia distinguished as an agricultural and nautical country. Therefore,
this idea will be developed by all possibilities to represent a new waterfront
residential which established the peak of the inclination and declination force
of the building, while agricultural and maritime characteristic taken place
below the residential stacked.
In
addition to response a few predicament that not resolved apparently, our design
approaching the consisting of independent function supply, moreover, it will
truly generate by a consideration itself that building equal to a city. In
order to fulfill these consciousness, there are several responses to verify
that these visualizations could be an advantage for Jakarta as seaside living.
For instance, provision of water filtration system and power plant is our
mainly solution to improve an inadequate water treatment system in Jakarta.
Likewise Zoo, terrace, and Public Park or children playground are being brought
in relative to the insufficient public park within the city. Also taking
Jakarta into consideration as a touristic destination, it forces us to rethink
the need of iconography that would empower the conclusion of this design as a
suspended hover. Jakarta seaside living comprises of 17728sqm of podium level
which divided into two parts, 3 storey each, and to accommodate agricultural
and nursery planting it varies between 8-10 storey which covering an area approximately
7260sqm, and the area for social housing about 10395sqm both are facing two
different directions, once face the ocean, in the other side, it is frame
toward Jakarta.
Supposing
with all main problems in Jakarta is on land exploitation that resulted in an
imbalance of infrastructure and the dynamics of population growth rate.
Meanwhile, this project is a new stimulation of seeking new residential options
at the waterfront with a view to minimize the exploitation of land. Therefore, this
design reflects the conception of “Flourishing Jakarta” could be effective in
the dense and the most diverse city. Nevertheless this is not meant for the
final design, it is just served as a stimulation to reinvent the condition in Jakarta apparently, this is a purpose of prosperous
life for Jakarta public society.
