A jewelry store located on posh East 57th Street in Manhattan that replaced what were two escalators that connected the street to the 2nd floor. The odd space was 9'-6" wide, 30'-0" long and 15-0" high.
The narrow space required some creative thinking to design display cabinets that could be easily accessed while not cramping the circulation space from the front door to the cashiers desk.
We created eight glass display cases that were connected by eight glass arches that contained the moving mechanism allowing the doors of each display case to opened by simply pushing them upwards. The wood shelf incorporate the lighting while the wood drawers contain the additional stock.
