The interior design of this four-story retail center was inspired by the movement, reflection and filtering of light and water. The layering of various floors overlap and recede to form a vibrant, water-like shopping flow between the two towers. This is accented by an expansive skylight at the top level, which is filtered by a triangular ceiling grid that modulates light and creates a cohesive rhythm throughout all levels of the building.
The basement level is designed as an object of connection, connecting to the upper levels by integrating a sculptural element with the escalator to add interest and value to the lower retail level. The balance of compression and expansion throughout the space works to inspire shoppers, while maintaining good sightlines and pedestrian flow. Each entrance is uniquely designed with gradient patterns to reflect an image of light on the surface of water, creating an inviting and elegant space.
