iQuest is an IT company located in the centre of Cluj, having over 200, mostly young, employees and in a continuous process of expansion. Parallel with the growth is their need to improve working conditions and the company's image. The brief was based on three ideas conceived by them: Green iQuest, iQuest everywhere, iQuest people and two technical aspects, the transitory character of the design (because of possibly moving to a new location) and construction work taking place after office working hours. The design concept was completed for the dining hall, reception and hallways. As a pilot project, the dining hall was first realized. Here we pursued the recreation of a familiar atmosphere based on the functions specific to a home. The room turns into a dining area, kitchen to prepare your meal and living room to relax and chat. The rows of aromatic plants, an answer to the Green iQuest concept, along the windows and in the middle of the table emphasize the culinary specific of the space. Green is also the recycling of furniture, bar stools – objects abandoned and reconditioned – acquired or donated from different locations that responded favorably to this request. The iQuest people concept is incorporated into the info panels near the entrance and the writing wall, the interactive support of the space, as well as the shelves that will hold each employees' mug.
