The Madison Avenue boutique marks an exciting new
chapter in JHA’s partnership with IPPOLITA, which includes multiple store-in-store
projects at luxury department stores such as Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue,
Neiman Marcus, and others. [JHA to confirm accuracy. Over the course of these
projects, JHA created a visual language for the brand, and when it came time to
create a single-brand space, IPPOLITA once again turned to JHA to interpret the
designer’s aesthetic in a 3-dimensional space.
IPPOLITA’s
intimately sized boutique (500 square feet) reflects the fundamentals of IPPOLITA’s
work: the intersection of sculptural designs and elements found in nature. The decidedly
modern space is balanced with artisanal elements, which include a combination
of warm tones and jewel-inspired pops of color, such as: - Carved, dark
bronze tubing- Hammered light
bronze accents- Hand-smoothed plaster walls - Cerused oak wide-plank wood floor laid in a
herringbone pattern- Steel-blue rug, punctuating the space much
like a precious stone in a bangle- Travertine stone inlay - Unique chandelier by artist Jess LaRotanda comprised of individual,
hand-gilded flowers in porcelain
