"Mathematical formula rules the architecture, Involve in order to creating new space.
The equiangular spiral or logarithmic spiral in other word has unique characteristic properties. Every triangle is similar figure, and every diagonal are same on the spiral. Those features create various effects and unique properties.
Involve is marked by the distinctive geometrical and economical structural system. The spiral of the formula has an inherent characteristic, allowing the structural members of columns, beams, and cross bracing to repeat the same system of details at all connection and creates remarkable geometrical precision and patterned beauty by only adjusting the length of these structural components. The spiral creates one and only by continuity and orderly arrangement, one of the typical architectural beauty.
In general, a rectangular box-form industrial building limits people’s interaction. Within the rectilinear layout, users are constrained to move along the two-axis direction only; being stagnant. In other hands, this spiral plan is intended to maximize the flow and the number of interaction points; being fluid.
In the spiral plan, the workers move spirally and contact and involve co-workers each other inevitably. As a result, they secondly generate various benefit, improving quality, enhancing productivity, etc. The building configuration creates an active momentum between the people, products, and information. Within the vortex, from which, and through which, and into which, ideas are constantly rushing.
The new architectural design and landscape design of Involve tried to revive the site that was once a forest. Involve was reflected on the geographical context. The form of the building was carved into a mountain shape and trees were planted around it. They create new forest in this area. The new architecture and landscape design try to attempt to involve not only visitors but also residents living in this local area."
