There is a specific consideration to national brand subjectivity in the designing and construction process of this project, the national brand or imagination of a society in other cultures’ minds, is a permanent visualization that is not mutable or modifiable. Political positioning and speeches are usually unsuccessful in such a field, it is rare to see them having an impact on their audience. Experience design (XD) is a new era in designing field that tries to make a nice and seductive diary for its client or attendance. Creating this nice diary is only possible by the direct involvement of users that is where all the expertise of designer(s) are being involved to make a proper context.
Entering the primary spaces of the project is among the corridor that is surrounded by reticular brick walls. A surrounded corridor, but virtually free and in collaboration with the surrounding environment that going through that reminds an event happening in Iranian traditional houses and buildings.
Going across the surrounded and semi-open corridor to reach out to the open and light full space of the courtyard causes the feeling of contemplation.
There is a seductive simplicity to the design and articulation of the new “Persian Paradise” which is a delightful and profound pavilion. Seductive, not just because the materials are simple brick, delicate wooden lattices, glass, and glazed floor tiles, but also because in fact, the design is not simple. Rather, it is a complex overlay of spiraling and then inverted geometries, creating a gravitational center of contemplation based on continuous movement and flow. A center that pulls the visitor inwards and into the space of the ordered geometry of a Persian “four-garden”, only to cast all movement back outward and upward to the ascending levels of the pavilion.
In this project, the abilities of designing techniques are being tested and Persian paradise is a place to test and prove these abilities; in order to achieve this goal different facilities have been provided to let the attendants have direct experiments in different spaces of the garden so that make their visit a memorable one. Listening to Iranian music, smelling the damask rose, drinking tea, saffron juice and touching silk carpets, also walking in the mysterious entrance corridor and sitting on the benches while watching children playing between the fountains; all try to visualize an imagination of Iran. Architecture as an activity where the experiencing opportunities take place in plays a main role in creating the above visualization.
