Suddenly we discovered that the center of the city of Lugo could have a covered public square, the market could, and should, be more than a market in order not to disappear. Suddenly this hollow, unknown to many, could become a place. From here comes the project, redefine surfaces and insert elements to build a covered public square.
Build the landscape. Define the desired atmosphere.
The coffered ceiling structure is subject to the color scheme in three alternating blocks. One of the objectives of the project, and basis for the proposal is the color to make it friendly architecture and to take advantage of the light that bathes the west thanks to the archery set.
The pillars are lined with artificial turf and tiled in muted colors, to soften their presence and remember the classic tiled respectively.
Line-belt continuous metal hanging from the ceiling is intended as a general support lamp light ornamental and night light.

All the awnings were designed, micro-perforated and backlit, they posts with messages and graphics so different to be down clothe and give unity to the whole central space and avoiding the typical cold image of closed positions.
Architecture as support of graphic design and this, in turn, the channel to soften the architecture.
Entrances were reconfigured in black tiled cut and wooden ceilings.
Finally, the furniture were designed as mobile stations and hinged to allow the versatility of uses.
Since opening the market of Lugo has become the event space in the center: fashion shows, concerts, plays, car launches, presentations of new political parties, presentations of cultural events, parties, rallies ... and most important, a place to promote and market our own products by nearby neighbors of all ages are in the center an open space and a new benchmark.
