The pharmacy is with a surface of 330 square metres in the ground floor of the Medical Center Dortmund.
The Offizin of the pharmacy is surrounded 3-sided with glass facades and therefore shop-windows: to Kampstrasse, to the supine back entrance of the Medical Center and to the atrium.
The sculptural visible choice – a special manufacture with white varnished surfaces and walnut covers on the shelve grounds - forms the back advice and the interface of the pharmacy: here the drugs are stored by the automatic picker and are retrieved.
To the visible choice are next and by this with a passageway connected the other rooms: Backoffice, night service office, tea preparation, kitchen and staff area, cosmetics, lab and recipe as well as picker.
Raised cover fields with acoustic effectiveness and indirect lighting as well as hung cover leeches support the space-arranging effect of the light.
All other pieces of furniture are also varnished white and are booked with real wood veneer from walnut-tree.
A specific feature receives the pharmacy by the listed architecture: unusual rooms in the form of rotundas (diameter approx. 2.85m).
In these circular rooms were planned benches and a table running around in the centre: they are used for discreet consultations with patients and as a break room for the staff.
