This residential interior, developed by OBJCT Studio, follows a minimalist approach that prioritizes spatial clarity without compromising on comfort or function. The layout, materials, and lighting work together to create a calm, well-structured environment for everyday living.
Material logic and color palette
The material scheme includes engineered wood flooring, textured plaster, large-format porcelain tiles, and microcement. These finishes create a neutral backdrop, allowing functional and architectural accents to emerge. A beige-grey palette enhances the sense of openness, while dark timber and graphite elements introduce depth and contrast.
Rounded wall edges and curved furniture lines add softness to the geometry, further supported by warm tones and subtle transitions in surface treatment. Integrated storage is concealed behind clean fronts — keeping the visual field quiet and uninterrupted.
Kitchen and living area
The kitchen features a monolithic island in microcement that acts as both a work surface and a visual anchor. A concealed door leads into a walk-in pantry, preserving the visual rhythm of the space.
In the living room, a ceiling-mounted projector replaces the conventional TV, supporting a flexible, uncluttered layout. Large panoramic windows open to the garden and bring in natural light. A central fireplace adds a tactile focal point and introduces a sense of intimacy.
Smart lighting and architectural detailing
Lighting is managed through a smart system, allowing adjustments based on time of day and activity. Architectural details — such as arched openings and recessed shelf lighting — are accentuated with warm tones, particularly in the bedroom, where generous furniture and considered spatial distribution support rest and comfort.
Technical integration and detailing
Service access panels are designed as removable wall sections, and ventilation diffusers are integrated into ceiling tracks. Wardrobe zones are separated into guest and private areas, supporting functional flow across the home.
All fixtures — from door handles to faucets — are unified in a consistent finish. Cabinetry is fitted with recessed or hidden handles, reinforcing the minimal aesthetic and tactile purity of the design.
This is an interior where everything is built in — and nothing is excessive.
