The concept behind the cafe is a darkroom/photography developing studio. We aimed to create a space that would attract photography lovers through details and atmosphere: transporting them to periods from the beginning of photography; agents and chemicals used for developing; crowded working areas; and cold, technical spaces. The bar and some of the tables have inbuilt details that serve as references to the process of developing photographs. We’ve altered a series of studio lights, turning them into lighting objects and inserting them into the concept cafe. All the furniture, except the chairs, is custom made—the concept and design of Form Architecture Studio. The high-tech details of the project, that part that pins the bar into our present times, are a couple of touch-screen tables located in the sitting areas.
