The main objective of this project was to create an open, airy and with as much natural light as possible interior. That turned out to be quite a challenge, mainly because of the proposed site, which had existing walls from three adjacent buildings, thus leading us to a “house-in-house” solution, allowing natural light inside through the creation of atriums and gardens.
The existing brick walls, combined with the new ones made from rough concrete give the interiors a powerfull industrial touch that is soften mainly with the use of floor tiles made of natural white/grey wood with knots and mostly white furniture. Finally, the design had to be completed with some bright colours like the red chairs in the dinning room or the bright blue armchairs in the bedroom, just to give te space a more contemporary look.
