Located in the Huanggu District of Shenyang, the Zhonghuanyue Mansion project aims to transform a long-neglected and chaotic urban site into a vibrant mixed-use urban complex that integrates commercial, residential, office, leisure, entertainment, and transportation hubs. Covering an area of 55,000 square meters, the project seeks to create a "green core" in the city—a human-centered urban space that reconnects people with nature and the city, offering a modern living environment for work, life, and recreation.
The design concept, centered on “Integration, Symbiosis, and Renewal,” creates a harmonious blend of nature and urban life. A central park serves as the project’s heart, offering a rare green space that revitalizes the urban fabric. By clearing the site’s cluttered vegetation and employing a "park-like road" strategy, the design expands spatial boundaries, creating a functional and revitalized environment. The "green foundation" concept emphasizes ecological permeability, seamlessly integrating the surrounding urban landscape and fragmented areas into a cohesive, modern cityscape enriched with natural elements.
One of the project's highlights is the mirrored floating bridge, which spans across the entire site, linking the urban and natural landscapes. The mirrored surface of the water bridge creates a dynamic reflection of the city, acting as both a spatial framework and a platform for interaction between the city, architecture, and nature. By day, the bridge reflects the hustle and bustle of urban life; by night, it becomes a glowing, mystical element, with the water and buildings creating a harmonious interplay of light, shadow, and time, inviting contemplation and introspection.
The design also dissolves the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces, drawing visitors into a seamless interaction with nature. A “tree garden,” featuring green spaces and water elements, offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle, providing moments of reflection and renewal. Every detail, from the sculptural walls to the red gravel garden, evokes a modern aesthetic, blending functionality with emotional warmth and artistic resonance.
Through its innovative design, Zhonghuanyue Mansion breathes new life into Shenyang, becoming a symbol of future urban living. Its distinctive landscape design represents the harmonious coexistence of nature, art, and life, creating a lasting legacy for the city.
