Organisations that are young and satisfy a need grow quickly. The Youth Care Inspectorate is just such an organisation. After being responsible for the interior design of the St. Jacobstraat office in 2004, in 2010 we were asked to do the same job for the new premises in the La Vie office building, opposite the existing office and therefore also on St. Jacobstraat in Utrecht city centre. The similarities were striking. La View was also a typical rented office: anonymous, efficient, apparently dull but with one great benefit - clear glass rather than reflective glass. Once again we created a space that was stylish, warm, bright and homely, using meranti plexwood, liver-coloured carpets, a white ceiling and colourful columns. The meeting space, pantry and consulting rooms are now centrally located in the building, offering a splendid view of Utrecht city centre and the concert hall. The office is based on a hybrid clean desk concept, like the previous project on St. Jacobstraat: a combination of a cellular office and an office landscape with clustered archives for each department. The offices are all separated from each other by sealed, removable walls, yet have been kept open in relation to the middle zone. The acoustic ceiling combined with the carpet ensure that there is sufficient sound absorption
